As the flames engulfed my body, I couldn't help but think about the choices that led me to this point. I had always been drawn to the darkness, the pain, the emotional overflow of it all. It was like a drug, addictive and all-consuming. But now, as I stand here, watching my life burn away, I realized the truth.

The truth was that I was tired of the pain. Tired of the constant struggle to feel something, anything. Tired of the emptiness that had consumed me for so long. And as the fire raged on, I made a decision. A decision to let go of the pain and embrace the unknown.

As I closed my eyes and surrendered to the flames, I remembered everything I’ve learned up to this day.

It wasn’t unknown, it was all I’ve ever known.

This wasn’t the time for me to just stop, to just give up, to let that flame take my life away from me.

I won’t let the fire sweep my feet from under me.

Not again
